I put mine basically above the hand warmer switch, it was a simple install. It's out of the way when I'm riding, not getting snagged on my bars.

I was thinking of putting mine there but my OCD kept me thinking about trying to centre it on the crease.
Too chicken, haven't mounted it yet!!

Actually broke the knee panel that has the switches in it. Plastic seems a bit brittle, wasn't even cold or a hard hit with my knee!?!? So I guess I have a panel to practice on now!

p.g.
On the low bars it's tight, but I got it just under the crossbar on the left

I put mine here. Seems to be working great! Doesn't seem to catch on the bars or anything! I had to use a thinner washer though because it was pretty sensitive with the washer that came with it.

i put mine right above the switches as well. you can mount it really close to the switches because of the way the plastic goes up. with low bars and the polaris handlebar bag there is no clearance issues. i would suggest mounting it without the washer. now that mine has been taken on and off a couple times it is real sensitive the movement.

1/8" aluminum measures 3"X3.5" drill bolt holes, and tether hole, run the tether wiring through the bar mount, and down with the rest of the wires. No washer needed.

That's a great idea but I run a handle bar bag and that would interfere.
