Air intake problems on '12 Polaris Pro 800

I'm having power issues when the machine is layed on its side on hard turns; im guessing it is powder clogging the intakes. Weird thing is, even when running straight, going from 5000 to 8000rpm sometimes does the same drop in power. I only have 10-15 hrs or so on the sled, im thinking its through the break in stage. I wouldnt think it should be so easy for the air to be cut off. Any suggestions?

Do you have to restart the sled to reset the computer (engine light flashing) or does the engine just cutout or hesitate for a sec??
