2011 rails

My 2011 pro rmk 163 has a slight up turn to the rails at the rear of the skid. They are flat till about 18" forward of the idler wheels then they have a slight bend up towards the end. This normal? Why did they do it? Looked at my buddies 2013 and no up turn. Also my skid has boggie wheels at the same bend location, can I remove the wheels and still be ok?

11 s had tipped up rails to make it handle better on trails 12 and up are straight

Must have been just on the 163's? My '11 155 has straight rails, unless they have been replaced prior to me owning it.
