I am putting in a new short block in my sled and noticed that there is no t stat. Why would the po have removed it and should,I put one back in.

Ur talking on top of the head outlet ??
The t stat is on the exhaust can side with the rave valve solenoids.

Well then that would be why it wasn't on top of the head in the coolant hose. Thankyou.
