Was told I was only suppose to use 111 race fuel but was wondering if just straight av gas would work? Race fuel is too expensive for my liking.

Depends on elevation and compression as to the gas required.
Change out domes to lower compression if required.

110LL should work. One octane point won't make a difference.

as long as jetted accordingly you will be ok
based on many factors like pfi572 said as well as sled and you
most sleds are built in rich to be on safe side
