Would anyone have advice on what it would take to put a (05) 800HO into my (03) Rev. I purchased a (05)800HO short block ( just crank, crankcase, cyl, pistons,no head,no electrical). I bought it on a whim, being told I could take the head, electrical, exhaust, carburation, reeds from my 800, throw it on the HO and it all should work. IS THIS THE TRUTH??? Any information would be greatly appreciated.

The 03 rev motor is an HO, I think they are the same but i could be wrong. I know they chaged in 03 from the 800 to the 800ho....

You are right. I had an 02 that was not an HO and i believe 03 to 05 are the same. Phone Ken at mountain magic and he can tell you if anything needs to be changed.

Nothing needs changing.
From 2003 to 2006 they used the identical block. In 06 they went to the e-rave, and it is running a little closer on the edge with timing, but thats about it.

Run it!:d
