Fellas, thanks for the support. I created a new thread under the Golden area riding so let's direct our attention there from now on.
Sounds like the email doesn't work properly from a smart phone. Also, from what I know Forster has always been closed till Nov 30 annually, but like Catamount...
Gents,
The Windermere Valley Snowmobile Club has put in a ton of effort to have Catamount Glacier opened up to sleds for the upcoming season, from February 15th on. That also includes use of the Olive Hut. At this time there is an amendment out to grant us access to the area, however, even...

I wasn't at Rocky at the weekend but drove past staging and past the turnoff and kept heading into the Bugaboo Heli Lodge. Past the staging at about 23 there was a decent slide that had come across the road, either than that nothing had come across the road yet. At km 21 staging there was...
They were trying to punch up above the Dave White Cabin but from the headwall side (towards Francis). There was a whole group of them (skiers) and not sure if there were able to get a trail up there. Northstar glacier would be above the main cabin, or sled shed as pano calls it wouldn't it?
I'd agree on 2 to 2.5 feet on Thursday, maybe it got blown around on Thursday eve and packed down a bit but during the day it was over the hood the majority of the time... poor visibility up top though.
There was a pile of sleds trying to get up behind the cabin on Friday, don't know if they ever punched through however there is plenty of places to ride, in my opinion, skiers can have that area.
Thanks for the update fellas. Have a cabin just off the cartwright road and was going to take the lady friend on a quick ride to the Bubaboo Heli Lodge on Saturday. Was worried we wouldn't get through as I've been there in July when the roads are still impassable. Guess I won't be taking her...
Was up there last weekend and the road from Radium to the 16.4km on the Westside Rd was fine, bumpy but easily driveable (if anything needed a bit of fresh on it). From the 16.4km to the staging at 21km on the Westside Rd was fine. Haven't been in the watershed way for a long while though. I...
Anyone been up in the last few days? Planning a trip for tomorrow but may check out Rocky Point if Forester conditions aren't great. Looks like snow in the forecast...
Trail in was great on Saturday, thanks Dycker. Four of us were first up and had that first bowl to ourselves for a few hours, great snow. By noon there were another 10 or so riders.
The snow marker by the chalet was at 3.75 yesterday afternoon and it snowed all night so more now. Very low visibility though. Great day for November. Today was one of my best ever riding at Keystone!
