Used to see them alot on the old Thornbury hill south of fort mac, sometimes right on HWY 63.
Quite a few groups of them in the Cold Lake Air Weapons Range this winter for some reason. I have also seen them cross 881 south of Conklin.

They're obviously not following the signage,.. maybe the bleeding hearts should start a program to teach them to read.

Yeah, shut down forestry, mining, oil activity, hunting, all recreational activities such as skiing and tourism. That should do it.

I think I may have read that they were gonna send all the humans to a special camp too.

One with a nice big furnace.

Kinda seems the "elephant in the room" so to speak is the resource industry, not the sledders

edit: I mean from a politics perspective its a lot harder for the govt to cut back resource industry than it is to put forth "mitigating measures" with recreational activity constraints

Followed a stock trailer and a brigade of government vehicles into the Centex gas station outside Salmo today. Asked what was in the trailer 3 times before anyone would say anything. They all looked like deer in the headlights and behaved like they were on some secret mission. When I wouldn't stop pressing, the driver told me they were caribou. More questions revealed this trailer contained most of the remaining caribou in southern BC. Only one from the pass. The rest from the Purcells. I guess they couldn't catch the other caribou on the pass. It will be lonely tonight. Seems a bit harsh. The last of it's herd wandering around looking for it's only remaining friend.
A sad day when the remaining caribou in the southern interior fit in a stock trailer with room to spare. I remember seeing the pass herd when they were a large and healthy herd several decades ago. The whole scene made me really sad. We're slowly killing our planet and all that live on it to shore up stock prices and make the rich richer.

Please try to attend, media will be covering this!
There will be a rally in Rocky Mountain House on Saturday January 26 at 1:30 PM in front of the Government building on 51 St. We have a week to get a good turn out. Maybe we can get some support from the people under 50 this time. Please spread the word. Our goal is to put an end the the Bighorn land Grab by the NDP.

What does this have to do with Caribou being relocated to Revy from the South Purcells/Selkirks? :hmm:

So is sledding on the North side of Kootenay pass going to be opened up now?

That is what we are hoping for. Trish has been working hard on this. It has looked promising but I have been very suspicious. I really do wonder if there is one left behind, or if this is one of their bs tactics to keep the area closed. I wouldnt put it past them.
