its realy somethin else when yu buy a new sled from a well established dealership and they wont even fill the oil tank.l buy a new 2009 m8 get home fire up the new toy low oil light comes on just enough oil to run the injection pump , so i call them they tell me that if i wanted the oil full they could have charged me for it and got all chity about me even sayin anything , the owner of the shop even told me to get a stick or something and dip the tank and i would see at least 1" of oil on the stick now how is that for service what a joke , i will find a dealer that likes repeat buisness ,reputation wont last long operating that way . :realmad:

I find that suprising, I had a very good experience with Don's last year when I bought my M8. When I came back to Edmonton I realized I had forgotton something, 2 days later Don droped it off at my work. Try contacting the man himself, maybe he will try to make it right.

I remember seeing Don's booth at the Edmonton Sled Show years back. A whole bunch of used Arctic Cat parts littered the floor. I was not impressed then and certainly not now. I am not an Arctic Cat fan by no means but a dealer should look after the hand that feeds them.
I would have told him to dip his own stick into the oil tank but it probably would have reached oil anyways, full or not.

Don't be afraid to name the dealership (Good or Bad). That is the only way to bring about change...

try echo cycle. The bill can get as high as 3 grand for warrenty issues and a set of hyfax sliders. Then you complain and and all of a sudden your bill is down to 3 hundred. i have been going there for years and still get fu*ked> i now go to drayton valley> They ride and its only an hour away. my two cents

Gotta learn to "play the game".

There was a time dealers would all treat you well as they wanted the customer for life. Doesn't seem to matter too much anymore. Bet this poor economy brings back some of the old ways. Always some good in the bad.....I hope.

Thats dissapointing to hear. Thats why I still do all of my buying back in Saskatchewan. I dont even live there anymore but the still know who I am when I phone and I get far better service and prices. Just picked up my oil for the season last time I was home. $10 per jug cheaper than Cycle Works and thats just on some lousy oil. Maybe Don should look into buying some there then he could afford to fill your sled swabby!

got my m8 from ralphs in calgary this year shipped to bc, barely enough oil or gas to get it started to take it off the flatbed and into my truck. Figured that was pretty cheap considering the sled and all the extras i bought

Ralphs in calgary has the worst service i ever had. Never again. I also had a bad dealing with Dons and i will never buy from them either.

I bought my 2004 AC 500i av from ralphs. Blew the quad up in under 200 miles and they tried to stuff me with a 4k bill. So told then to go shovel it as it was 2 weeks old. They covered it but i had to do alot of complaining.

From dons i bought a stator for my old sled 99 AC 600 and it took 4 weeks to get the part for it to be the wrong one and then thye had the nerve to charge me shipping for there mistake. Once i got the right one, i had my core sent back to them in like 3 days. Took them 2 months to give me a credit for the core after i had called about a dozen times. I now ride a Skidoo and have had good serive for the most part, but i think its all in the dealer. But as for these 2 i will never deal with them ever again even if they were the last ones around.

i dont no who i will buy the next sleds from yet but i no 1 thing i will not travel 12 hrs. round trip for chity service again from dons but in all fairness to them there sevice was good b4 i thought so thats why i called them and then DON had to open his BIG mouth and get all chity i was not impressed 1 bit , i spent over 22k. in past 2 years there never again !!and we all no that money is going to be harder to come by with us going into a recession along with poor buisness tactics we will see what the future holds for these corner cutting ,shady, gouging dealer ships,i can guarantee this they will wish they played us a fair game when the sales are down. :nono:

the funny thing is all these dealerships cruise this site regularly trying to sell there chit and advertise here and yet no replies or anything to even try to justify the tactics used that have us consumers angry, now that is disturbing and a little spineless as far as im concerned ,i would not have had anything to do with a dealership operates this way had i new this b4
i wounder how much they would have made selling sleds to me for my lifetime ,they will never no now .......:p:realmad:
did i mention i have 6 sleds (1 each for the whole family)and 1 quad and there all new or newer arctic cat stuff and i upgrade every year at least 1 or 2 sleds so if there is a cat dealer out there that likes repeat buisness ive not found you yet ....

i am between buying a new rmk or the doo.

i think i am going to go with the doo, everytime i have a problem, or they screw up even a little bit, they take care of it. they help me out all the time. like farmer said, i bought two polaris in melfort awesome service. cycle works can't even get my dual carbides right. just got them yesterday after taking home two other sets that didn;t fit and they are south side and i nive north edmonton just west of the base in castle wood.

At Riverside, they track how much you have spent there, and the more you buy the better deal they give you, like anything else i have had some issues, which hey it happens, but they have always helped me out, parts is awesome. and service just helped me take apart the recoil and swap the spring over as i have had enough of those go off in my face that i don't want to touch one ever again!! and they didn't even charge me.
