Old Phil got suspended from Duck Dynasty by A&E for stating his opinions on gays and other things in a GQ magazine interview. Lots of mad people calling for a boycott of A&E. Hope the rest of the family stands up for him and pulls the plug on A&E. Another network will pick them up in a heatbeat.

sign this petition to get him back on the show.

With so many real issues that people should be pissed off about in this world the fact that so many are mad that some rich redneck, who's personal views should come as a surprise to nobody, won't be getting another fat paycheck is ridiculous.

I don't share his ideals in the slightest but I could care less what he thinks or says.

all he said is what bible reading and god fearing folks have been saying for years. why doesn't anyone go after any of the TV ministries for sayin the exact same thing over and over and over again? such a load of crap....why didn't A&E fire dog the bounty hunter for blasting out the "N" word? I guess only some kinds of racism/bigotry are offensive to them?

Ya, I heard about this from a friend last night.Where do Company's/network's,whatever get the
idea that they have the power to tell people what their opinions should be?I will admit I am a bit
of a hypocrite though because I think people with "radical" Opinions should STFU.By radical I mean
white power and crap like that.I am not a religious person and I have a gay person in my extended
family,so I may not agree with Phil about the "sin against god" thing. That being said I do think that
Phil has the right to have his opinion and the right to give it if he so chooses.
IMO there is a bit of a grey area with opinions,we all I'm sure agree that we have a right to our own.
But,we attack people for voicing theirs if they are too far off of the line where our's are.

Until the network back's down on this matter, anyone that watch's that show or buy's a Duck Dynasty
product is supporting the networks "communist" attitude.Hit them where it hurts, their pocket book.

I can't speak for everyone that is pissed off about this, but I'm not sure him not getting a pay check is the reason for up roar.

The fact that only a select few get to exercise free speech is getting to be more and more obvious, and in my mind, that is what should have everyone pissed off.

A&E has every right to boot him from a program on their network. It is theirs. And likewise, if what he said offended people, those same people are free not to watch the show, or A&E altogether. But with that, the other group of people that agree with Phil have the same freedom not to watch A&E. It's that simple.

As one fella on the radio says, "Your freedom to be you, is also MY freedom to be free FROM you"

Couldn't agree more.

So they send this urban pussy out to interview him and he gives his opinion, albeit a bit of a graphic one, on homosexuality and people are shocked? This reminds me of the Chick Fil A fiasco from a couple years back on the same issue. Ask a bible thumper their opinion on homosexuality and then act shocked and offended when they don't sugar coat it.

They advertise a show featuring the ridiculous antics of a redneck family. As far as I'm concerned, Phil is just delivering as promised. In any case, Phil doesn't seem to be promoting hate against gays (IMO). He also freely expresses his opinion about "yuppies" - a label that can be applied to me by his definition - yet I continue to watch the show despite the bruises his comments leave on my fragile self esteem. I may have to get a yuppie posse together and tune in A&E once and for all. ...but for now, the bruises to my self esteem are soothed by the pride I feel when I realize Phil doesn't consider yuppies bottom of the redneck social hierarchy - that spot is already reserved.

I guess it's not much of a joke if your a HOMO or atheist. Otherwise...

Not much of a joke if thats your attitude and your son grows up and is gay and kills himself cause hes afraid what his dad and friends might think coming out.

Just cause hes watching chicks now means nothing. My friends gay and he dated chicks till he was 20.
