Started about 2 months ago, stripped all plastic and did some price checking to see if worth while to rebuild, While I decided to rebuild, just nothing out there that made me want to spent 12000 to 15000 for new ride yet.
Started by renewing big bore 720 kit from Mot's with JE 11-1 piston.
Head was ported and polished with Hotcam Mudslinger cam already.
Springs were getting weak (3000 k on bike) replaced with Highlifter.
Should give me clearance for 30 Zillas, same weight as 27 Mudbugs.
Rhino brand axles, bigger u-joints and slightly bigger shafts.
14" ITP SS312 Rims
New rear plastic, melted old on on exhaust by leg.
Going to snorkle airbox, did one for smkngstv(Steve) and going to copy.
Fixed up some wiring issues from late last year.
Primary clutch seives are being machined and cam plate to get more bottom end. All parts and machining getting done at Rapid Revolutions, Kevin knows his grizzs and Katty is a great partsperson to deal with.

Finally had some time to work on Griz again. Got air box snorkels just about done. Cleaned up plastic and installed. Still waiting for clutch to come back from machine shop.

Thanks Steve. Hoping for today on clutches hate it when have to be sent to states for that when have good machine shop already around here. Cleaning sure takes awhile but with 3000k on it I guess it needed it. LOL

Looks great! I like how you entered your air box. Is that 2" pipe?

Your on Rene... Trying to set up with boys to come out in august with quads and stay at lodge. Hopefully snow will be down enough to get around up there.

Got clutch back today and installed. Finally got it out of shop and try it. Wow bottom end is snappy for 30" tires. Gone have to get use to being higher feels a little tippy, maybe some adjustments on spring setting will help. Not getting any wheel rub at this time will see when in ruts and skeg. A few finishing touches and off to Vega on Saturday for test run before long weekend. Post results then.
