although dyno numbers are cool and good for comparison a sled that makes good power on the dyno can run like a bag og crap on the hill. not saying any of these do but its only one thing to consider

phil i have a dyno in my garage you can try out......................... its the primary clutch off my 880, we can swap and see if you can pull the rpm, much more reliable at 8000 feet than daves

fred you no dam well that primary goes with secondary,so unless a guy tryed it all well it doesnt make much sense, all i know is my sled is a blast right now,so im not interested in trying other peoples stuff but in the mean time if we run into one another we could do some arm drops side by side comparision just for fun, also pretty sure you run different gearing, alot of variables here.by the way i have some clutch stuff here if you got any buddys that are intersted.

There is definetly lots of variables that change the outcome it seems. From what i am reading. so many things. clutching, porting, exhaust, reeds, gearing, jetting, tracks, ecm flashing or not, timing, fuels.

wow.... a bit overwelming. There dosen't seem to be a out of the box kit, or set up. lots of testing and tuning to find what works seems like.

Thanks for all the info guys!... really appreciate it..... so does Teeroy... i think...lol

linderman does dyno his stuff, i was told when i bought the kit the LOWEST PUMP GAS setup he has seen is 175hp. At 175hp that is just his kit (head mod) and pipes, no air box mods or anything else. Air box mods can yield around 2.5-5hp and thats on crappy crowsnest air too. Most would come in around the 178 to 183hp mark. obviously no engine is the same and some come higher than 183. As for reeds 95% of the time he never found it would increase a peak number, but its not always whats at the top that counts. And with that said someone else's kit may bring in HP with reads. Never asked what a pure race gas version would bring out but i'd image atleast 185 and better.

bottom line, i wouldnt mix match kits and parts between diffrent builders unless it is recommended, could get bad results. IE i dont hear of to many people mixing up a DJ kit with a rooster built kit unless your somewhat advanced??

come out for a ride with me, i'll show you a 175hp + pump gas big bore:p

Jaws also makes a big bore kit, claiming 20+hp over stock which i would belive. There kit includes the twin pipes.

i would like to see the dyno sheets still though. Lots of claiming with very little info to back it up. i guess what i am saying is i would like to see dyno results for these kits making the HP that they, they being the builders and the pilots claim...... why spend 3000 dollars on a big bore if it only makes 8 to 12 hp... and believe me this is proven by dyno testing. call me a dipchit, but that's a lot of $$$ for little return.
we are all taking someone elses word, Lots of claiming... no proof to back it. all that being said i don't expect a BB kit to rip your arms off, just for it to do what "they" say it will....

anyone else feel the same???
