XP handelbars

I bent my 08 xp handlebars. How hard is to get the heated grips off with the hooks built into the bars? Is the heating element in the grip or is it taped to the bar?
Does anyone that upgraded their bars have a set for sale with the grips still on them?

Use compressed air. Aim the blower nozzle at the inside of the grip and let her rip. No problem at all. I did mine in the past a couple of times. Good Luck.

i got everything switched over and new heating elements on.what is the trick to get the new heating wires to release from the electical block? I poked a little screwdriver in it and no luck

Your on the right track. Be care full not to break the block. If I remember right you have to use a very small precision screwdriver and stick it in along side of the steel connector to release the wire. Have a look at the new one and you will see the tab that needs to be released. Its a pain but once there out the new ones install no problem. Good Luck.

P.S. there might be an easier way but not to my knowledge
