Brother wanted a change of scenery decided he was going to look at a cat been on skidoo last few years
2022 hardcore alpha 146 nice looking sled 2 dealers 100 miles apart want 18400 and it comes with 1-2year warranty and not moving on price i thought thats a bit steep its just under 22000 out the door taxes in and 750 pdi and freight included crazy for a n/a sled

i paid 15500 or somewhere around there for my 2020 skidoo 850x 154x3 but i no prices have went up so looked on kijiji see lots of skuds at lots of dealers for anout 14500-16000 depending on options and track lengths and lots with 4 year warranty just wondering what cat does to justify there prices and shitty warranty?

Buddy just bought a 2022 skidoo sp 154x3”, in season model, bare bones, $hitty shocks for $19k, then he’ll spend probably another 2-3k on shocks, so pretty much apples to apples there

And that’s 19k all in for a base model with 2 years warranty, not sure on the price of a 2022 freeride 850 but I’m guessing it’s very close to the price of the cat 2022 hardcore, that is the proper sled to compare for prices

I don't think cat actually wants to sell sleds anymore.
Sure does make ya wonder

It seems like a grim future for Cat.

I always buy late in the season. Prices seem to come down. But then you get maybe 2 to 4 days on it and have to park it for the summer

I just found it strange i mean 22 out the door taxes in was alot more then what we figured walkin in there, skud was 17500 out the door and raptor shocks run 2500-3000 thats what i paid for mine for my summit x. But when your over 20 on a sled and u try to get them down and they dont budge a penny or no thrown in oil or belts ive always got that with my skuds ive bought. I mean how many people are looking for a single rail 146 cat.

Sleds are in short supply this year, I'm guessing every machine they have will be sold by Christmas.

If you don't want to pay full price the next guy will. Sucks but that's reality.

Dropped the wifes vehicle off at dealer and they have 0 vehicles in the lot and any coming in are presold they wanted to buy her 4 runner. Its seems everything is in short supply or limited supply. My ? Is where is all the money coming from lol or just insane debt as if you were to finance the sled it was at 5.9%

Again base model 2022 skidoo summit 850 sp 154x3” yesterday at basecamp Motorsports in Calgary was $19,000 out the door, so your sled but fast forward 2 years to the 2022 skidoo summit x 850 is probably 21000-22000 out the door right now, how is that different from the cat? Numbers are the same, you keep referring back to your sled price but that was two years ago. A 2020 Arctic cat hardcore was $15,000 ish as well plus tax two years ago.

Go with the Mountain Max. Same sled and 3 grand cheaper. From all my research I couldn't find any differences other than color.

The main difference is the arctic cats have the ATAC system for the fox shocks, can adjust settings right from the handlebars, the bumps the price a bit having electronically controlled shocks

Ya thats a 154x3 with shot thats not a base model per say as it has added options a base model is 154x2.5 pull start

cat is 146 and has pull start and is 2.6 track

the 3 inch track and shot are like 1200 in upgrades and oncw u own the raptors there work for a few model years usually and they usually fetch a premium on resale anyways

I thought cat was bad at 750 for frieght and pdi lol we used to just buy them out of the crate and let us setup ourselves reason to grab a case of beer and invite buddies over
