I've ridden 4 times now and the first 3 rides I was at 8200 when I'd pull a hill but I was still on the ethanol setting for break in. My last ride I switched the plug over to the premuim setting with 91 Esso premium and I was hitting 8350 - 8400. My rev limiter kicked in twice. That's a scary feeling when you are cooking up a hill. I'm riding at 6700 feet in 18 inches of fresh on a 5 foot base. My weights are 10 - 62. Does anyone run 10 - 64's?? The Polaris chart says I should run 10 - 62 but I think the HP curve drops off after 8200 anyway.

8100-8200 is dead on. Anything over that and your actually losing the battle.

I have a 2012 with a 155. The dealer here put 66 gram weights in before i picked it up. I am 235 before i get dressed and with 94 chevron i am hitting 8300 to 8350. May try to go heavier to see if it will pull harder.

on my first ride [5 days] my stock 2012 163 was slightly over revving to 8300
I used some 10-64 gram weights and ground some material off of the under side and made them 63 grams and the RPM dropped down to a more satisfying 8150 on all of my longer pulls.
