Cable line? I hate cable it whips back when it breaks!

Was synthetic rope, so hopefully this time with bigger stronger stuff it won't happen again.

It was a grey color, made sure the new stuff is better quality and heavier.

Problem is dragging it over the ground, synthetic line does not like it at all, needs to be unreeled and cleaned also

I have never washed my synthetic rope and haven't had any issues.

They do get wet from normal riding and without proper drying will sometimes get a little rotten.

I don't clean mine either, but sand and dirt caught in the rope will cause them wear. That said, I destroy mine from abuse long before grit abrasion becomes a factor.

My winches never last long enough to wear out the rope. New winch new rope!

The first 10 ft or so take the most abuse, rubbing on ground wrapped around trees etc, just cut hook off and retie or get a sleeve

The only time I get stuck lately is walking in the little bit of loon shat we have up here to hook up to jeff. Filled as boot or two.
