Vega ferry

Heading to Vega in the morning. I am going to assume the ferry is still running. Has anyone been out there in the last couple days? Anyone know when they are shutting it down this year?

shut down will be October 15 (Early, for the construction of concrete ramps , so it appears)

the trip was good, lots of trails, and the ferry is open till the river freezes says the ferry operator .
