Its been three years in the making, although this December we are scheduled to officially open the worlds first ever snowmobile assited ski/boarding area.

We will have four runs this year each boasting a whopping 2200vertical feet!

Should be sick.

Lots of work and volunteer hours have gone into this project over the last few years and today we finished the biggest hurdle of installing the abutments for a 100' recreational bridge over the canoe river. Even abnormally high water could not stop us !

Bring on winter.

One of the photos is of a run we completed last summer. 3 more are being cut and will be ready for this winter!

Let us know what you think

ZERO!.......for this season anyway as it is still being ruffed in and until we figure out on the how, whats and whens of grooming etc its all yours. We have a plan in place for the 2013/2014 season that I hope will fly, but for now just come enjoy it, play safe and call me for a rip!

So you'll be the one towing people up for free? Lol

This might just be the greatest thing since sliced bread.

Setting a new standard for mtn towns and setting the bar pretty high I think! Great work. Can't wait to get out there and try it.

Ok one thing o have to say is hope this ski-planker hill don't work in valemount.

Sicamouse and valemount are a few of the sleders places where they care about us.

Revy used to have sleders discounts ect...

Not so much anymore.

Makes me keep driving to Sicamouse

This hill isn't designed to bring in thousands of skiers. Its to give sledders and family another option while visiting valemount. Nothing wrong with that.

Great work! I can't wait to try it out. Seems like a fantastic way to get my gf more exposure to sledding and skiing.

PS how big are the trees and where are they going?

Bet Bnorth. Our agreement was to not cut any merchant timber unless noted to be a safety hazard, so the runs are still quite treed. Its all hand felled and bucked to lay on the forest floor. No way to get the wood out even if we were allowed.

Post some pics of runs after being cut out a bit. Curtis how does the idea work? You take your sled and use it to haul your or your friends up to ski/board down and then switch off or what???

Yes Glen, very similar to downhill mountain bike shuttling. The best scenario is four guys with four sleds and just keep shuttling two sleds around. That way everyone gets to ride together, but last year I witnessed and old rmk pulling 7 people...lol
