I sold that truck to sledwrangler's girl friend. She was buying it to pull a 2 place inclosed sled trailer and that's the perfect size of trail for truck. She got a good truck for a very good price.

But I will agree with most the OP's trailer is to much for a half ton. I would try to find an older cummins instead.

Yah you really need to search and if there's a good deal you got to jump on it! But yah I don't know where they come up with the prices.

Older 5.7l had poor gas mileage..... My 2013 gets over 900km to 109.9l tank hiway speeds, with full truck box and 4 passengers, with a bullydog gas gt tuner and k&n oiled stock air filter. Can't call that bad gas mileage. Jus sayin

My 2010 was pretty good and better than my 2008. And now I hear how good the 2013's are, amazes me, the hemi doesn't get enough credit. Sucks gas when pulling from what I hear, then again what doesn't, my dmax isn't very impressive either...

I put a little more fuel in my hemi than sbr in his '04 duramax when we filled up in hinton, and i was pulling a 19ft enclosed, loaded, and he was pulling a 2 place open, loaded, and a sled in the box :) ... So, yah, not bad.,..... My son has an '08 hemi and his gas mileage sucks, but he's probably a little heavier on the gas than i am? Lol

I'm kind of in the same boat... Got 291,xxx on my 06 sierra 1500 EC/SB and I'm looking for a different truck. 40 km a day city commute, jet boat in the summer, might occasionally pull a friends 19' enclosed with 2-3 sleds in the winter, maybe a truck camper in the future but not currently.... torn between a CC/SB 2010+ Sierra/Silverado w/ 6.2 1500 and a 6.0 2500... or a CC/SB 2010+ F150 w/ 5.0 (budget). Tough to stay away from a new GM unit with 0% for 72 months , but ive heard theres a fee associated with this financing? Might just keep budget low on a used company F150...

problem with the 2010-2014 1500 GM's is the CC/SB only comes with 5.5' box.

A 5.7 Hemi is really low on torque when you hook it to anything. If you're on a budget, the gas GM 6.0 would be better. IMO.

Or a 8.1l which gets the same or close the same mileage as a 6L with way more HP and 10x better tranny!
If your going to go old school truck!
You can find these for around $10000
So they make a cheap puller ! I love mine for what it is!
