does anyone else have problems with getting water inside the carbs? where the air box connects to the carbs seems pretty sketchy... like water could get in easy? and only 1 very thing air filter??
Any suggestions??

We have a 96 Summit 670 and we have gutted the air box ( removed the shelf) We do not have a problem with water. Our carbs fit into the air box very tightly with rubber gromets. In fact we lightly grease the rubber to aid in them sliding over the carbs easier. Is your air box missing the rubber gromets??

Okay.. had it in garage today and opened up carbs. lots of water inside them and in the airbox, both filters were soaked. Dryed and cleaned out carbs (springs did not seemed chopped down at all).
Runs great. Hammered out the frame half assed now I just have to wait for bumper to arrive.
My question is... does anyone else have problems with getting water inside the carbs? where the air box connects to the carbs seems pretty sketchy... like water could get in easy? and only 1 very thing air filter??

Make sure that you get all the water out or once you take it back outside it will re-freeze (probably once you get going down the trail) and you will wind up with a stuck throttle at wide open with you on the sled. Had this happen and it's not a pleasant experience, make sure you are wearing the tether at all times from now on when riding this sled.

Water in the airbox/carbs is not a common problem, was the sled left outside in the rain over the summer maybe? or stored without the cover on? Did you wash it at anytime using a pressure washer (like at the end of last season)? Did the shop wash it before they serviced it? You will need to check the airbox periodically from now on.
