I did the Google thingy........I can say that I have never seen caribou in town but I didn't know there were 3 specific herds of them in the area.

Yes chase them with a helicopter, dart them , net them and then place in an enclosure and watch as the females spontaneously abort their young. Immediately followed by speculating why that happened . Revelstoke has had the same program going for a few years now with pathetic results.

You forgot about the huge cost . They will pay the natives to monitor them and just like Moberly Lake area , partly look after them and collect $$$$
