It’s very scary to be caught on the glacier in white out conditions. You lose spatial awareness and you can lose your balance as there are no trees to focus on. You can get dizzy and feel like you are falling. Most of the terrain has slope to it so there’s not much flat spots. It makes you think you are standing straight but you are crooked. I don’t know where they are so hopefully they are in some shelter or maybe made it to the trees.
There’s also a lot of new Sledders so they may not have had near death experiences to learn from. This will learn them. 9 Sledders will now carry overnight supplies. Heehee.
