I was going there tomorrow,,, but one of the guys I was guiding on day 1 had a ghost rider from almost the top of the mnt and his sled jumped some trees and landed some distance from them,,,,,,,,, not alot of damage,,,, but wasn't very good for mnt riding so the called it a weekend. if you want snow,,,,,,,, theres lots south end of baseline mnt,, and onion,,,,,,,,,,
sugarbowl???? it would be mostly hard pack as the winds picked up this afternoon. Tried to get into it from cresent falls last weekend,,,, no way!!! 4 kms from the bowls it was all rock,,,,,,, but from the dump side should be good as usual.

We rode baseline south of the forestry tower on the 2nd march /08, lots of snow in the trees and trails. Sunny slopes and high treeless areas snow is thinner, but were able to find ways around. We had fresh snow , with no tracks, you never know what you'll find out there. A few trucks with sleds went by as we were loding up, must have been at onion lake/hummingbird falls. We were going to go there but the snow at boundary was good. 2 to 3 ft. on the trails in the trees. a little thinner on the sunny slopes and open areas. Had a great time, got stuck, fixed sled, got tired, GOOD DAY. Will likely try onion lake this weekend, hoping for new snow or cloudy days as the tral in, is in the sun all the way, rocks and mud, maybe open water? a

Anyone knows, let me know.

Woke up this morning with alot of wind and snow. should make for a good ride out at onion lake/hummingbird/ranger creek area. Will be heading out this weekend for sure, will try for sat march 8, @ staging area at onion at around 10-10:30. Should be a good time, lots of base snow with a good layer of fresh. For anyone who has never been to this area, +/- 7000ft elevation, with good snow, it is one awesome area to ride in. Ah bring avy gear, steep mtn. area, no interest in looking for bodies.

Rode out to onion lake area, didn't get all the way in, had previous commitments, but there was lots of snow in the trees, stuck, snow waist deep or better, starting to set up. Trail in getting thin, riders at ranger crk said 4 ft in area, but water xing not much fun. Access in is disappearing fast, still snow in trees and alpine.

Anyone drive out west of rocky mtn house or down the forest trunk rd. south of nordegg, should be lots of snow, wondering if it's possible to cross creeks etc.
