Snow scratchers

Has anyone had experience with the snow scratchers that are attached to the skis on the sled? How effective are they? Are they better than attaching the scratchers along the track?

Buddy runs a set on his modded 860 XP but still has to run rail scratchers to lube the hyfax and keep it cool enough.

You want this style of ski scratchers. They shovel the snow to the track. Keeps my T-pro at 129F on icy trails. I also use rail scratchers. Bought mine at Specialty sleds.
