Revy Report - Dec. 6-10, 2008

Well we made it out, finishing ( kind of ) our sled deck and Kenny's (kennyblatz) sled in the morning and leaving in the PM. Roads were a little sketchy but we went for the snow, right? hhaaha.

Stayed at the Peaks Lodge, had a great time. The new owner is real nice, and has the sledding crowd in mind.

The Viedeman trail was not groomed while we were there. Extremely rough. The Kirkup was groomed Sunday night.
Bezanson was never groomed.

There was lots of snow, but still a few stumps and rocks to watch out for. I managed to get tossed due to a rock, and we got halfway up a few trees, but no carnage done.

Tough to see sometimes, but we had a great time.

More pics to come, I'm just trying to figure out photobucket. Buddy is loading some up from winnipeg as well.

Sweet !!! We were directly behind the chopper when it landed by the Nitro!!:d

He took off and instant white out, then landed again not too far to haul out a different nitro!

It's a small world....isn't it?

Funny story. A guy in another group had a Nytro that needed a lift out. The Nytro in the pic had just been rolled and had lost the key. The boys getting lifted out volunteered up their ignition, complete with key. Not sure who it was, but thanks!!

Ya Samsquanch said $400-$450 this year. We have a unwritten rule. If someone in our group needs the chopper, we split the bill among the group riding with him ! Small price to pay vs. wrecking your own machine trying to tow his out !!!...

No our group only had two 4 stokes, neither had booooooossssst !! :d

Sled Shed's newest project, Chromoly tube chassis w '01 Polaris 800 and skid from '07 Rev. 350# dry. To put that into perspective, their carbon fiber Rev is 410# dry.

Thanks to Al for his help clutching.


Oh and the '09 XP I rented blew the belt at 120 miles. That's about normal, right?

I saw that sled on frisby ridge at the end of Nov, they made that out of old sled parts and he welded the rest, that is some machine.

Being a sat. phone owner I have called Selkirk Helicopters twice already this season. Both were for strangers met on mountain but heard from one after that it was $450.00 and they throw in a Tee shirt this year. Both calls were off of Frisby but I imagine the price is the same from Boulder.
