get rid of stock can ,get a crankshop single ceramic with y pipe and thing stinger,boyesen rage cage reeds, kick ass filters,16x151x2" track with extroverts ,lexan hood,03 or newer clutches, 21 43 gears,410 main jets ,boss seat and a strong thumb or duct tape.then you will keep up to mine

Sell it and buy an 2003 HO 800 Summit zx chassis sled with reverse and put on a single Dynoport pipe, I put money into my 01 and i should have just cut my losses and put my cash into a much better model year. The improvements in two model years are too numerous to throw good money at an 01 Summit

i owned both a 01 and an 03 i kept my 01 ,the 01 is a bomber year

Depending on your budget you can build a monster and still have dependable
machine some of local shop carry some products that can blow mind.Starting
with dependable machine witch you are ready own 2001 is great machine
I know i own one 01 MXZ start shopping I usely do my builds in the summer but
this is when I buy my parts good deals sometimes happy riding!

Be careful 6000km probably has weak compression already. It won't take much to push that motor over the edge. If you don't want to spend alot of cash I would leave the motor alone and just do clutching, leave can in, you can pipe it but your not going to can a tonne there imho.
