Post Likes / Thanks bar at bottom

Is it just me, or are the Post Likes/Thanks bars kind of random now? Some posts have them, some do not. It appears as though none of my posts contains these options any more. On one thread, the Op's first post had no Likes/Thanks bar...but two posts later it is there... what's up?

I noticed the same. It seems the first post to the thread has ads instead.
