We have been listening, watching and sympathizing with all the theft happening near and far and are happy to announce through extensive research we've found a legit way to keep ALL your valuables safe at all times. This little device can be hidden anywhere on anything allowing you to track your snowmobiles, vehicles, motorcycles, UTV's/ATV's, toy haulers, absolutely anything in real time via lap top or cell phone. The unit itself goes for $119.99 excluding your plan which is roughly $100.00/yr. We will be stocking the SPOT Trace immediately!

So once those effers steal your sled and truck and park it in a seacan, will this get a GPS signal through the can?

Nothing like being a little pushy with your product, how many threads you need to start on this?

With it being motion sensed your machine, truck, trailer whatever it is your tracking should be found before those thieves have a chance to throw your valuables in a c-can. As soon as ANY motion/vibration is detected you're alerted via text or e-mail and your valuables are being tracked immediately in live time with hopes whoever has taken your belongings will be caught far before they have an opportunity to get to that c-can. As long as that transmitter is angled facing up to the sky that signal should be able to make it's way from/inside anywhere/anything. I will do more digging and make a call, keep you updated.

it should would work being in a truck or on a sled on a deck or open trailer but not in an enclosed trailer as it would not be able to send signals to the satelites

We absolutely will test these in our enclosed TylerG, we want to make sure no reception is inhibited due to the metal. We're hoping this SPOT Trace will really prove to be an effective theft prevention devise and make these thieves think twice about taking what's not theirs. We're looking forward to getting them here hopefully for Thursday.

Try it BEFORE and AFTER putting tinfoil on the inside roof,.. thieves will be doing testing as well. Take someone 30sec to grab a sled, throw into an enclosed and be gone before you could get one slipper on,.. But best of luck if it does function as intended.

Great idea and I applaud you for posting this and working with this product. Is there any flashing light on it and how long do the batteries last for?

There are LED lights when turning it on/off to show it is functioning but when it is mounted the lights will go dark, it is made to be very discreet. The batteries they're telling us will last for months of idle time and live GPS tracking depending on mode and setting.
