simply put its because of some of the deals he has made in his tenure, why they did it now is because he wasnt commited to pulling the trigger on getting robby lou, burke has never been a fan of big long contracts. The new G.M will be chasing Lou by the end of the week i presume.

I'd agree. Also happens to be Dave Nonis who is replacing him. Nonis is the guy that brought Lou to Vancouver.
