Spent Saturday the 10th at Kakwa. Had never been there before. Thanks to the locals for sharing tips. Thanks especially to the Swan City Snowmobile Club for their efforts. Grooming is only part of the equation, but it's what we noticed most. Smooth ride to and from the play areas. Never have seen better.

I agree, the grooming is outstanding. The boys deserve a big shout out from all of the trail users, they know who they are!!!
Now if people can keep packing out what they brought in from the park cabin, it wont be such a mess. Its really simple, its all about respect people. Arrived there around Sunday @ 3PM, empty cans, water bottles and shredded god knows what is was... some people must think its a right, not a privilege to have a great place to meet up until it gets take away from all us BC&AB users. Just an FYI to all them abusers, it is a privilege.

Shout out to the groomer operators and all volunteers working Kakwa. Had a wonderful day March 31st with blue skies, -5 C temp, great snow and the best trail condition I have ever seen. Great work guys.

Heard some rumblings about a guy passing away on his way out the trail this weekend. Heart attack or stroke. Anyone else have any info?

Thanks

Well we heard about a person who went off the trail and was trapped under his sled. Think this was Wednesday or something but completely unreliable as is third hand at best best.

Yes , that is what happened . A 56 year old man was found dead just off the trail. Tragic.

Oh wow, that is sad to hear about. Sorry for the family. At least he was probably doing something that he loved when he passed.

Went sledding with fellow member Paul(PS94) and a couple other friends yesterday,.. unfortunately 52weekbreak couldn't make it up. It was a pretty good day I have to say for April 7. Not many people out our but didn't venture too far away but still found about 2ft of fresh in the trees and about 1 in the sun exposed meadows. Sun is setting it up pretty good and most likely was my last trip of the spring.

Right on. I almost caught a hoarse with the front of the bus coming out. So that was interesting.

Haha. I was the pilot truck. We came out in the am. About 930. Of course there was some riff raff without radios. Always exciting on the Stetson.
