jetting a 1998 mxz 670

hello there just got a 1998 670 the guy told me he used it in the mountains wanted to find out what i should jet it at have to take the carbs out and see what its jetted at will let you know but does anyone know what the jetting should be for around the edmonton area ?

Does it have a DPM? What size are the carbs? Stock exhaust and airbox? Stock RV?

i think the carbs are 40's and its got pipes on it i just checked to see what it had for jets in it right now has a 640 on mag side and 660 on pto side

If memory serves, that sounds pretty standard for that set-up. I would go up to 660/680's and try it around home....do some plug checks, see where you're at. (make sure you run premium....preferably Shell 91 Gold)
