We have been notified that the rd. leading to Paint Lk. (Area 51) will be plowed from the hwy. for a good portion of the rd. at least to the bridge on the Limekiln Rd. Active logging will take place through the entire winter, 7 days a wk.. There will be very few plowed pull outs and a lot of log hauling on this rd..
Use a lot of caution on this rd., watch for traffic, and DO NOT block the rd. with your rigs, the logging trucks and equipment have the right of way. The trucks are radio equiped the radio frequency #`s are listed below.
Also the rd. to McCrae will once again be an active logging rd. this winter so these 2 rds. will need extreme caution.
It is unlawful to travel on a plowed rd. by snowmobile, the fines are heavy not to mention how extremely dangerous it is.
Radio frequency for the McCrae Rd. is 153.320
Radio frequency for the Paint Lk. (Area 51) is 156.240
Please make note of these and if you are sledding in these areas a radio is advised to let logging trucks know where you are. Remember parking is at a premium on these rds, logging equipment has the right of way and don`t block the rds.
