I.C.E. means In Case of Emergency. I read that paramedics, when they come across an accident casualty will locate their cell and look in the contacts list to see if there's an I.C.E. number programmed. It would help them a great deal if everybody had an emergency contact number or two or three programmed in their cells. This helps in many ways and it'll only take a second.

My wife and I have it setup on our Blackberry Home/Owner screen. That way the ICE info is even visible if the phone is locked.

Yep. just program it under ICE, this is pretty standard now and this is one of the first things the cops or paramedics will look for.

We promoted this thru the Edmonton Regional Safety committee, I can get the little stickers if anyone is interested..... you can put the sticker on your car/truck and it will let ERS know that it will be in your phone, they also provide little 1" stickers you an put directly onto your phone.

I never really bought into it, figure it's a good idea but realistically all my #'s in my phone are maked as......home, wife, brother, boss, ect.... wouldn't be hard for someone to get hold of a contact...

yea i put ICE under 'Dad' in my contacts. with the blackberry both show up on the contact list together. so if dad or home or mom dont strike them as someone to call to begin with.. hopefully they notice that
