I agree with Tex keep it simple. We have a ten year old Arctic tub, no fancy anything just one pump basic jets. I've had zero issues,t he tub has been through 3 moves. My neighbor on the other hand has a bling tub, he has had nothing but trouble with it.

We bought a refurbished tub from RnR Hot Tubs here in Calgary. Paid 500 for the tub, 200 for the cover and they included an hour of "spa School" which was really helpful and informative.
We use the granulated "Aqua Brand" - Easy Shock Plus, Brite Plus - these are used in 1 table spoon increments and have never used more than 4 each/week. PH Minus when our test strips tell us too. Recommended to use Cop-Out once a week, to prevent scaling, calcium build up, etc....
We will go back to RnR for the next tub purchase, this one was an, As is..... Where is.... kinda deal
