Enough snow in the ditches between Hinton and Grande Cache. Best conditons are between the Berland River, and Muskeg river. There are many cutlines and trails off the southwest side of the highway.

Yes it's a tough time of year. Went to Whitecourt on Sunday, several sleds out but a lot of grass and dirt showing. Rough and extreme caution is required. We were on our quads so we stayed off the sled trails. Too much snow for a fun ride. Sigh. Need another foot to make it reasonable, 2 feet to groom.

Went out sleddin down some cut lines on sunday north of Hinton. We staged at the old air strip on the south side of the big berlind and made our way to Donald flats. There was about 2.5 ft of sugary snow back in the bush, not much for base and spin down to dirt if you manage to get stuck. Burnt a tank of gas and had fun except for the hidin dead fall that i hit.
