I hear ya guys. This was going to be the "do perfect maintenance and be nice to it and keep it for 200,000++ km". GM has other plans. I wholly believe that these things are engineered to fail at 100,000 miles (160,000km) and there's nothing you can do about it. I should have saved thousands of bucks on regular maintenance and many hundreds of hours cleaning, waxing etc.....just ran the schlit out of it. I would likely be in the same spot today.

Well, we will see if a Japanese-engineered vehicle responds to conscientious ownership....

I really like my new chevy but it will be traded off at the 5 year point which should be around 140k mark. I bought extended warranty up to that point. If the truck gives me issues before that point and starts sending more time in the shop then on the road it will be gone. I don't need to deal with that kind of crap. What did you buy?

New 2017 Titan crew....will have it Thursday. NOT the XD...I don't need/want anything more than a 1/2 ton.
Driving my beater truck '02 Ranger this week (Mazda) until trade-in day as I just can't stand looking at that dirty GM any more. Frick, the ol Danger Ranger was my life raft 5 or 8 times this past year....always starts!

I can't agree with you on them not lasting....either I have been lucky or you got a dud....

My current 2011 GM daily driver with 6.2L gas will pass 360,000 km....in a few days....runs awesome

my previous 2008 GM with 5.3L gas that I sold privately when it had 308,000 km is still running with ~350,000 km....relatively trouble free

my previous/previous 2004 GM with 6.0L gas that I sold privately when it had ~280,000 km is still running with 340,000 ish km

and my 2000, 1998, 1997, 1991 were all pretty much trouble free trucks....all bought new (maybe that's the difference, I doubt it though)

I think you just got a dud

I think a ranger is the best truck Ford makes!

I bought my 06 new...got 300,000 on it and was happy. Bought this 2010 new as well and it got the same maintenance...doesn't stop the camshaft from falling out of it, doesn't stop the endless TPS issues with "reduced engine power" issues, doesn't stop the battery dead after sitting 4 days issues. This truck is the best looking POS out there. Dud or not, GM lost me on this unit....

2010 and 2011 vehicles seem to be a bad range. Our fancy 2012 gm has had a lot of issues too. I wish we would have gotten a new 2015 Tahoe instead

I never really liked Nissan until Val got the Murano.

Best suv we have ever had. Tried 3 different brands in 6 years.

Enjoy your new Truck.

Bumper to bumper, that's impressive.

Prices a bit higher than a similar GM?

Pretty much all the trucks are priced the same...I'd say the Titan was actually a bit cheaper for what features are there.
Arff: my wife has a Murano too and I feel the same: great car. This was a big part of the reason I'm trying this rig.
