What subscription costs $150? I haven’t seen a Pornhub lifetime membership even cost that much.

i think he meant 150$ a year x 6 years = 900$

I figured the part about it costing a $1000 for one message was because of the combined cost. I mean I can say that about vehicle insurance, I have paid the cost of a new truck over my lifetime I am sure and have used it once.

But he specifically said $150 for a one trip subscription. So? I know math is hard but meth is harder.

Please show me how you get to $200 for one weekend?

I don’t spend $250 a year.

There is something wrong with those prices. (The ones dgiles posted)I was busier earlier and didn’t have time to login to my Inreach account. Those prices are more than I pay.

Can someone with a new Garmin InReach login and check their account and see how much the price selections are. I want to see if they are charging more for the new unit on subscriptions.

Inreach changed their pricing plan recently. Now the cheapest plan is $19.95/mo and you get nothing. I signed up about a year ago and pay $14.95/mo and includes 10 text messages and unlimited preset messages.

Yes the cheaper inreach plan is $19.95 which went up last year and so did my price for the rest of the plans by about $5 but the prices listed by Dgiles are quite a bit more than what comes up when I log onto my Inreach account. I am on the freedom plans and my second plan is $34.95, used to be $29.95, not $44 and $74 which that one I would pay $54 and it used to be $49. Why is there a $20 difference?

Same plan I use. Is yours the Delorme InReach or the Garmin?

Never mind I can see the unit. So is the Garmin more expensive per month?

I have one, had it for 6 years now, COST, I have messaged my wife once, cost of message over $1000, won't renew subscription at $150 for probably one trip. Have not had anyone to ride with for the last 8 years, (too old), so I ride alone and leave a trip plan with the wife and carry provisions for 2 overnights.
Sorry to say but you sir are not too

can you still get the Delorme inreach?

I have seen some online and the odd motor sports dealer still has a few I am sure. It’s discontinued but it’s still fully support for now.

I thought about upgrading at some point to the new Garmin model because mines seen a few years of use but if they charge more for plans that’s ridiculous

So do these inreach plans come with geos??? the cheap plan is 190 bucks Canadian.

Spot x looks cheaper to buy and the plans are at the mercy of the US dollar. I have a 1st generation spot when the company first started up, nothing wrong with the unit and it serves it purpose.

If a person was looking to upgrade what you guys do???

Would it be worth it just to pick up a sat phone?? I hear so many horrible stories about the plans being changed etc.

I'm buying a inreach explorer+. I have the original spot and plan on selling it. Inreach imo is has a better chance of reaching whoever you are sending the message to. around here I find my wife gets about half the messages that I send on my spot. And if I actually need help I am not sure if the message went out or not. Also having a GPS is a good thing. and for a peace of mind I feel the inreach is better for me

If you wanted to have a annual subscription it’s $19,95 a month for a basic plan. It makes no sense to get this plan unless you want to use it 12 months the of the year and have no use for messages or tracking.

My plan is $35 a month for the months I want it active. Nov to whenever I stop riding in spring. I don’t start it until mid Nov and basically run it for six months then suspend it for $5 a month. I have turned it back on during summer for some trips but I didn’t need tracking or messages and just went to the $20 plan. It’s as easy as logging in, picking the plan then suspending it again when I am done. You could do that during winter with the $20 plan as well and then suspend it for however many months so it would work out to $150/yr.

I plan on keeping my Inreach, if I didn’t have one I would get the new one. I am also researching sat phone options maybe for next winter as I travel a lot and sometimes to some lesser traveled areas especially in the US.
