Was hound walking out a spur road by chopper this am

Bet he wished he had a spot-x or inreach..........

Just selfish not to have one now adays.
Putting SAR at risk for no good reason.

Should be no search in SAR.

They had one, his buddy had one and got out

He was separated from other guy, and kept going I guess

Not sure 100% on that tho

didn't skegpro post a pic of their busted Alpha earlier.....?

Never heard if it was broken sled

But is was down a drainage that gets a few guys every year that you can't come back out of, even the slow bikes get stuck there

Mabe in spring with a real good snow year it's possible

It's just like going straight north of the cabin, and drop down, goes forever into bad chit lol

Do you have GPS coordinates of that spot. Would be nice to have it saved for reference.

The area is commonly referred to as 911 for obvious reasons. It feeds into a 6-700' waterfall. Snowbikers made it down but had one hell of a time getting back up, it's steep but not vertical.

One guy with no communication hammered down the drainage then his buddy was playing down it too and it dawned on him that he better find his buddy but he ended up too far down to get back up as well. Two other guys stayed up top and tried to find their buddies and couldn't ultimately deciding to call 911.

To summarize today's lesson:
Don't drop drainages you don't know
Don't drop drainages solo
Don't drop drainages without a radio or inreach
Don't drop drainages if you can't ride as good as you think you can

First photo right above the N arrow. Size of the drop was drastically overstated to me.

I have one, had it for 6 years now, COST, I have messaged my wife once, cost of message over $1000, won't renew subscription at $150 for probably one trip. Have not had anyone to ride with for the last 8 years, (too old), so I ride alone and leave a trip plan with the wife and carry provisions for 2 overnights.

And just cause you dropped a drainage once in April doesn't mean it will look the same the following January.

What subscription costs $150? I haven’t seen a Pornhub lifetime membership even cost that much.
