Just wonderin what all you dirtbikers favourite terrain to ride in is? mine is sand, and clayish dirt for mx track riding.
In the following order:
3. Sand. Can be a bunch of fun, but it gets old quick. Desert riding is different. Good desert mountain riding is wild! go to nevada and give it a try!
2. Motocross Tracks. I love a track with good flowing obsticles. A track that is NOT perfectly groomed. Bumps and ruts are part of the challenge.
1. Really nice loamy soil on a cool day(15 degrees???). Overcast skies, and just a sprinkle of rain. Riding inside a forrest under tall trees. Wide singletrack with elevation changes. Big hill climbs with rock, dirt, fallen leaves.... CHALLENGING!!!
Son of a...... NOW I WANNA GO RIDING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
johnny you would love where we went riding in smoky lake.:d
If you go north of smokey lake to hope lake, chump lake and buck lake its some of the best riding with sand to dirt to skeg.
don't know that I have a favourite, I would pick tight woods riding in cooler temps after a rain. but I love to ride....anywhere....
it's at the summit of Mt. Hamel near Grande Cache AB, 7000' elevation. Is this ductch creek heli look-out?
We rode up to that about 4 years ago.

I was getting a mean decel pop at 7000'....not sure how the X would handle 10,000' without some jetting changes.....lolHaha. Guess not =)
Talking about Elevation, out in Invermere you can get close to 10,000. That's pretty crazy.
