People need to take a breath and calm down.... the only reason the governments are doing what they are doing is to spread out the impact to the health care system so that the least amount of people will require intensive care. They have no ability to handle a large amount of very sick people, so they tell everyone to isolate themselves and help slow down the spread. The economic side effects are unfortunate, but in time everything will go back to normal, the stock market will recover back to where it was and life will go on. The big unknown is the panicky stupidity of the populace. If the media keeps blowing this all out of proportion and keeps up the fear mongering, all bets are off as people will react badly....

Hard to believe the stupidity. It’s all laid out for people but they just can’t read or do a bit of research to inform themselves .

Alberta has now declared #COVID19AB a public health emergency.


That means all events in the province larger than 50 people are CANCELLED, effective immediately.


All public recreational facilities and private entertainment facilities, including gyms, swimming pools, arenas, science centres, museums, art galleries, community centres, children’s play centres, casinos, racing entertainment centres, bars, nightclubs, and bingo halls are CLOSED.


Sit-down restaurants, cafés, coffee shops, food courts and other food-serving facilities, including those with a minors-allowed liquor license, are limited to 50% capacity to a maximum of 50 people. Take-out, delivery or drive-through service is permitted. Licensed facilities will also be permitted to deliver liquor.


We are also deploying an immediate $60 million to municipalities, charities, and non-profits to support their COVID-19 response - particularly to adult homeless shelters, women’s emergency shelters and the Family and Community Support Services program.
