Do I need to change out my stock drivers on a 2014 Polaris Pro 800 163 if I put on a aftermarket X3 camoplast 162 3"?

Thanks

Chrisco-do you stock the 7t avid powerclaw drivers for the 2.6 PC track?

You don't need to do a drop and roll on 2013 and up pro rmks just 7 tooth drivers

You don't have to drop & roll an '11 or '12 either. My '12 has the stock chaincase with 7T drivers and 3" track. You do need to cut the rail tips for driver clearance and install an anti-stab kit.

So the chaincase mod + 7t drivers will fit a 3" on an 11/12? I thought 2.6 was the limit without D&R.

With the case mod and 7 tooth drivers the 3 inch will fit you will need to cut the rails and use a antistab on the 11/12.

Good to know thanks, I think I will stick with the 2.6 since I already have the track and I wish to ride around home with it. My buddies 174x3 etec will overheat with our snow conditions around here, heck he even overheats going up the trails in vale sometimes.

Well, that is where having a 2012 is a problem for me... Boo, got my hopes up.

If you know a good aluminum welder, the chaincase mod is very easy. I cut out the necessary part of two chaincases and prepped the aluminum angle pieces to be welded in. That took less than an hour, then my buddy with the other Pro getting a 3", knew a welder who did a great job for a case of beer. The welding part took him less than ten minutes.

How much do you have to trim your rails?

There is a cross shaft just back from the rail tips. You remove that shaft, cut your rails back to about 3/8" in front of the holes for that shaft and then mount the anti-stab kit where the cross shaft was originally installed. Use a 5" grinder with a zip disc for aluminum to cut the rails. Very easy mod.
