Crankcase Sealant type?

I've got motoseal on hand, but was told by a tech in Grande Prairie that they use Loctite 5910, which looks like black rtv silicone. What have you guys been using?

you can get it at crappy tire its called the right stuff

I used permatex 515 flange seal as recomended by skidoo dealer works good no problems in 2 years so far

i have used anorobic sealant..... thats what u aluminum parts should have... its not like silicone at all... it hardens in the absence of air...

Thanks guys, I ended up buying some anaerobic permatex flange sealant (man that stuff is $$$). Got the rest of my parts in the mail so will button her up this weekend.

use the stuff that you get with Ford parts. Just smell it and you will understand how powerful it is. Its gray and it nasty!! used it for years without problems, good for the exhaust too.
