Factory static compression ratios can vary by as much as 1 point. So on the 1000,the ratio could vary from 11.7 to 12.7.to 1. This will also vary the cranking compression anywhere from 145psi to 165psi.

So how does the math work??? Compression reads 158 PTO and 160 MAG. This is measured at 80 ft above sea level. Do you just divide these numbers by static air pressure?? Ex: 160 psi / 14 psi (static air pressure??)= 11.43 :1
Also wondering how much compression could be used safely on 94 octane pump gas between 3000 to 7000 ft.

I know that an 800 at 13.5 and higher should run a mix of race gas, not sure if its the same for the 1000.
