Ok so here is my question. I have a Roosterbuilt kit in my 14 XM 163. I have it dialed in pretty close have been really happy with it this season. BUT I am having to run on clicker 5. I want to be on 3 or 4. I had 16.5g of Weight in is. I took 1.5g out. Is this going to get me down to clicker 3 and still pull as good as it was? How much weight is equal to 1 clicker?
Thanks.

I'm running stock gearing. Was running a 21 top tooth but had to go back to 19. I'm about 215 before all my gear.

Oh 250ish I would say haven't got everything on and hit the scales. Lol ya everything is clean and set right. It holds it like a champ. Just want to drop a clicker or 2.

Should work with removing the weight and lowering your clickers a couple numbers.
Remember that clickers adjust the ramp profile. Higher the clicker it'll react faster. Lowering loads the engine harder.
Someone feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.

If I recall correctly I think the rule of thumb is 1gram equals 200 rpm, and I think each clicker number is 150 to 200 rpm. I have the same sled with the same kit, I tried the taller gearing and did not like it much and went back to stock also. I was in contact with RB late last year and he suggested a different ramp as well which I put in but only got one ride on in May, but it seemed quite good. As per RB I needed to add a couple grams to use those ramps. I look forward to trying it out on the super pow days.....if they ever come. I got do bored today I drove the kids around in circles on my lawn with the Commander, unheard of on a normal year.

Yes he suggested ramps to me as well. If dropping weight doesn't work I will put it back and and be satisfied. I think lol.

If your running the 441 ramps Paul's recommended ramps work very well. I ran the 441 before his ramps and I was on clicker 4-5.
Do you remember what color primary spring that came with your kit??

How many km on that belt?

I don't recall what colour the spring is. I am still running the stock ramps. Are they worth changing? And the belt has 1400k on it.

Many km on the kit? I'm wondering about your primary spring.

Imo Yes they are worth changing noticeable difference.
I'm running almost 19g of pinweight and I'm on clicker 1-2 at altitude.
Was at 17.5 with the 441.

The kit would have about 1200 on it. OK I just looked back he said to use the 412 ramps and add 2g pin weight so I was at 16.5. If I can get them before the trip maybe I will throw them in and put more weight in.

Wouldn't hurt to put a new primary spring in there too.

OK so I put the 412 ramps in and I am running 18g pin weight. Took it for a little field blast on the prairies and I am pulling 8000 on clicker 1. With the old ramps and 16.5g I had to be on clicker 2 around home. We are about 2200'. I am thinking I should be good to go on clicker 3-4 in valemount?

Yep give that pinweight a try in the hills, did you get a chance to see the color of the primary spring?
Those Ramps will help maintain rpm better as well.
