I know the Elans well. I owned 2. One regular Elan, one Elan SS.

:beer: I havent owned one but a few of my friend had them when i was a kid. my parents had a polaris 440 long track:eek::eek: untill my dad rode my 07 summit 800 he would go on and on about how the 440 was a big sled in his day.

Dan123, I am a mother of 4 children whom I love with all my heart. If one of my kids said that I would be emotionally crushed. Life is a precious thing, that should never be taken for granted. Enjoy life to it's fullest, but for your mothers sake stay safe and make wise choices that keep you and those you ride with out of harms way.
Mom

Thanks for the kind words,,I am very catious with the people I ride with,,
not so much with my own life,,If some one is to die out there I hope it's
me...

As for hope Creek,,ya the first little bit is pretty hary,, the first 3 slopes
you get to is the only place I've seen a class4.. In 2000. If you were back there
in 2000 you would have seen the aftermath,, once you go a bit father back
yes there is some mellow terrain witch is pretty safe,,,But if you keep
going WAY back it gets hard core again,,and I climb pretty much every
slope all the wat to the top/or rocks,,execpt The 1st aformetion bowl
where i witnessed a class4,, I stay off that one,,it definatly has potential
for a class 5,,I would like to see that (from a distance)
I would love to share pics,,but none of you are into hill climbing, cliff droping
cornice drops or general back county fun,so I won't bother

None of u Know any thing about me,,If I was at the op's hill that day,
I PROBABLY wouldn't have atemped it,,but I sure as hell wouldn't
have gave buddy ch!t for it,,And if I see any of you fawks buried
in avalanche or just stuck,, I'll be the first guy to help you out..
I go out every weekend for 16years ,,chances are I've helped some of you already at some point,,,
I've had just about eneogh of hollier than thow,, you are wrecking it for me attitude most you have..

Ps I look at the Alalache reports every time I go out,,this year it was mostly high,,At least it wasn't Extreme....

Good bye

Dan

I think that we should all be carefull out in the backcountry. We all love getting to the steep and deep. My older brother and I have been riding for 41yrs and still go hard. We have gone up and gone in to spots that would get us into problems but we are carefull.

Post the pics..

Plus the Avalanche report has only been high for a couple of occasions.
I get it every time they publish one, and read the script.

I think you haven't seen the face of death yet.. when you do, your hero like attitude will change. You are starting to sound like clint eastwood...

Thank god you made it here... I was concerned for the little fellas safety... he was talking all crazy on this thread... I was worried that he might do something to himself with all of the suicide posts he had been making....... ;)

Ron saves the day again!!!
