CAC mobile app error

Is anyone else having issues with the CAC iPhone app?
This is the error message I get when trying to open a forecast.
Also, how to I subscribe to the email bulletins again? I can't seem to find them.

I get the same error on Android also. SOME areas work tho. (Banff, Glacier, and Jasper NP's work fine)

Also, what CAC areas are McBride and Valemount in?

The CAC has made changes and not all for the good IMHO. We can no longer get a daily bulletin via email. Something to the effect that the email system is too big, a large amount of old addresses, etc.. It will be a real shame with all the educating they have done in the past 5 years to get to the point where they can't or won't send out daily bulletins.

The daily emails that Amazon, Costco, SiriusXM, etc., seem to work so why can't the CAC get it right? Most people will not go to the site and get the bulletin. IMHO, that is the truth. The hard core sledders will get the bulletin but not the average weekend warrior.

As an add on, Banff, Glacier, and Jasper are National Parks and there is different attention being paid to them because they are skiers. Go figure!

There should be a new app, and I was told last week the old ones would automatically update. Maybe the update failed???? Try deleting the old app and downloading the new one maybe???? I don't have cell service at home so I can't try it till I'm in town.

I have the same issue. just loaded the app this morning and it no works. Taking AST1 tonight, I'll ask Lori if she knows anything

I got the same error a little while ago when i tried but I thought maybe they just hadnt put out any forecasts yet. Lori did mention they made a bunch of changes when I took AST1 last week.

The app is working for me on android. I know they are still working on features. The forecasts will no longer be emailed. Avalanche Canada gave a bunch of reasons all of which i disagree with. If I get enough likes on this post I will put up a poll on this question. Sometime I like to look back in the season to help me understand what is happening in the snowpack now. It would seem simple enough to resubscribe every season I am sure the big retails would have a app that does all this for them.

Yea I updated a while ago I guess that why it works for me. CAC is no more. Even whistler Blackcomb needs to update there avy bulletin that has links to the old site.

East of Valemount (Clemina) is the North Columbias, West (Chappel, Allen) is the Cariboos, and north of McBride (Renshaw) is the North Rockies.

Folks will have to be patient with the new app, it's probably going to take some time to shake the bugs out. I'm sure the functionality we had on the old app will return in time, remember the CAC got a lot of miles out of the old app so hopefully we'll all get used to this one and not have sweeping changes again for a while.

I updated mine by going into Google Play and then manually updating the existing app, I didn't search for a new one.

Avalanche forcast by sebnarware if you type in Avalanche Canada in apps. It will only give you cac.

That is what it's called in the Google app store. I just searched for 'avalanche'

I have a real phone, no idea what apple store has in it.
