Alright, here is the scoop.

I moved back to Canada in September last year from the U.S. Now I figured I could just do my taxes online, fill in the required forms and it would be done and easy. Boy was I wrong there...

I fill it out and it turns into me getting back about $15000 between the two. Well this doesn't seem right so I start looking at it again, well now it has me owing about $15000.

Does anyone know any good sites to get information from or any good programs to use? I have typically used TurboTax (U.S.) and QuickTax (Canada).

Any help will be appreciated.

Thanks

From my experience (ex intuit employee) when your dealing with both country's your better off to take it to the pro's. There are probably lots of tax saving opportunities that you won't know about. I'd go to an accountant... NOT H&R Block as they are only trained for Canadian Taxes.

Couleeman:

Phone Dean Gallimore at KPMG in Lethbridge. 403-380-5714.

He is the head tax partner there and can likely put one of his team on it for you. They have a good crossborder guy there
