Pretty cool.. check these bears out. They live by us. 4 grizzlies.. the other morning we saw a Black by our place too! We are a family that loves bears. We have a healthy respect for them, and really enjoy seeing them. Please post up your bear pics!

Love it! Do you care if it's hunting bear bear pics? I don't have any yet though

It's funny, I've got such a love for bears, I can't hunt them, but I'd be a hypocrite to say oh nooo hunting pics.. I hunt, but not bears, and I fish. Me personally, I love the live bear, but post em if you have them. I love the awesomeness of the Bear. I'd love to see a spirit Bear pic if anyone has one.

Those give me chills Momma! I love bears, you are so lucky. Like you, I have a very healthy respect for them, but we grew up with so many around that I've never felt the fear some people do. From a distance, they're lovely :d

Sweet pics! Are they by chance taken off the highway by Stewart cr. fsr, or just before Hall siding? I know every year around this time they can be seen there.

They are right at APEX kinda by the whitewater turn off. We've been waiting for them. I remember last year we saw a HUGE Boar there. The trail has been closed because of Bear activity for the last 3 weeks or so

Here's one from 2 weeks ago. The dogs had a yearling chased up a tree at the end of our driveway. We have a den with 3 cubs and a mama about 3 miles from our place. I'm thinking this little guy was one of them and that mama is kicking them out on their own this year. I brought the dogs in and took some crappy phone pics and let the bear come out of the tree. Then let the dogs back out to put the run on the little guy.

This is his one and only chance if he comes around again he will be meeting the boom end of my .270 :( Sad but I'm taking no chances with my kids. Allot of peeps have told me I should have shot it first thing and not given it a chance.....

I love watching them I took the kids down to watch them at the den one day when the cubs were out climbing trees. We were still quite a ways from them but it was nice.

I've about had my fill of bears. One came IN our house at about 3am. Just opened the door and was in the foyer. The Great Dane came out barking, but it was the Yorkshire Terrier that drove it out of the yard with a speed growl on it's heels all the way over to the neighbors :). Meanwhile, the big bad Dane went back to bed ... Oof!!

That spot was popular with Grizzlies when I was a kid. (a long time ago)

I saw a group of 4 once in the Pine Pass, same time of year too, I assumed it was a Sow with 3, 3-4 yr old cubs. Sometimes they keep them that long, just imagine the killing power of a group like that, yikes! A Boar with 3 girlfriends? never heard of that. Maybe he got into some of that Axe body spray :)

Salmo was crawling with bears when I lived there, ie- 27 bears counted at one time at the town dump near the ski hill, there was so many fruit trees in town that attracted the bears we would have to mow through bear scat when cutting the lawn :)

Not something I would want to see hiking through an alpine meadow...

Since our family moved here I've never seen so many bears in my entire life. They are pretty good though. Fraidy cat Bears that want to avoid us. There was one last year that was a hooligan. He tried to eat the siding off my neighbors house, was a peeping bear when my daughter came town the stairs..looking right in the window at her, just taking every opportunity to get into trouble. One night we went out for a quad ride. Within 4kms we saw 5 bears. lol. Once summer hit in full swing, they seemed to disappear into the wilderness.
