Hey guys new to the forum!
Thinking about making the trip from athabasca to slave lake on the lesser slave river.
I was on the slave river last weekend from slave lake and as far as I went there seemed to be lots of water. I'm wondering how it is near the athabasca and more so about the athabasca itself, is there still enough water to make that run right now without too much concern? I run an 18' eagle sport delta pad. About how long of a trip would that be if anyone has made it before?

Thanks

Typically you need to have higher water levels to get up the Slave from the Athabasca. Its pretty sketchy for the first 6 to 8 miles. Its about a 2 hr. run from the Town of Athabasca to the Slave River confluence. As far as from Athabasca to the Slave it can be accomplished anytime of the year.

Good one! I was more, generally speaking when the water is soft. But. If you wanted to drag your boat behind your snow machine...well then I am still correct...lol
