altitude meter

Just wondering if anyone knows anything about the altitude meter on 2008 xp. Mine was reading 2200 a week ago and know it reading 1200 and it's the sled hasn't went anywhere

If it's anything like the CAT, it needs to be calibrated often. I believe they work off of atmospheric pressure.

I have an app on my phone that it tells me the altitude. Find it's helpful so I know how high I am, as long as I have GPS signal.

It was a lot warmer a week ago, my XM will vary 500 feet depending on the barometric pressure. When its cold it usually reads lower, when it's warm it usaully reads higher.
